About FORMWORKS

My name is Michael Noe, and I am the founder of FORMWORKS. Ever since I was a kid, I've loved to tinker. Every holiday, I was asking for LEGO sets, robotics kits, and anything else I could put together, take apart, and figure out how it worked. That passion continued throughout high school, where I discovered 3D printing and rapid prototyping and even started my first 3D printing business.

That hobby led me to the University of Dayton, where I studied Mechanical Engineering Technology. During my time at UD, I became heavily involved with the SAE Baja team, eventually serving as president for two years. Between engineering classes, building race cars, and countless late nights in the shop, I gained hands-on experience in engineering design, manufacturing, welding, fabrication, project management, and product development.

As my involvement in motorsports and manufacturing grew, I began to notice a disconnect between the automotive market and many of the technologies transforming modern manufacturing that I was working with through my co-ops and internships.

That's why I founded FORMWORKS.

Through services such as additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, reverse engineering, custom fabrication, and sheet metal forming, FORMWORKS aims to bridge the gap between modern manufacturing and the automotive world, empowering builders, fabricators, and mechanics with the tools, parts, and processes needed to continue building awesome things.
